FMCA 9th AGM & Community Meeting
14th October 2017
The final FMCA AGM was held on 12th October at 7:30 pm in St Thomas's church. At the 9th AGM of the Flint Mountain Community Association a vote was taken to dissolve the Association. With great regret no parties came forward to take on the roles required for its continuation. So with immediate effect the FMCA liability insurance will not be renewed. There will be no further issues of the village newsletter and in due course it will no longer be possible to access this web-site. The web-site may continue until early 2018 so until then new notices may still be posted here and emails with still be replied to.
All liabilites will be cleared and assets will be distributed to an appropriate charity in the coming months.
The FMCA has for 9 1/2 years been a friendly and active group held together by the chairman Kieran Duff. Thank you to all those that have supported the Association and made the last 9 1/2 years so enjoyable. (Site Administration)

FMCA Community Meeting
2nd October 2017
The future of the FMCA is in doubt. After nine years the chairman and founder of the FMCA is stepping down ahead of his departure to pastures new in Shrewsbury. Several committee members also wish to take the opportunity to stand down so there is currently no one prepared to take on the roles of chairman and committee members. A meeting open to all Flint Mountain residents is being held on Thursday 12th October at 7:30 pm in St Thomas's church to discuss potential options or make a decision to dissolve the FMCA. Also see notice on Nextdoor.co.uk.

Northop Village Meeting
Welsh Government A55/A494/A548 Deeside Corridor Study
29th May 2017
Please come along to the Edith Bankes Memorial Hall in Northop Village on Wednesday 31st May @ 6:30 pm and give your views on the two available options known as "the Red Route & the Blue Route". Both these routes would have disastrous consequences for Nothop & Sychdyn, increasing the traffic through the two villages and causing a pinch point in Northop with the inevitable traffic jams. Destroying green barrier along with the best and most versatile agricultural land. We have an alternative route "the Green Route" - PLEASE COME AND GIVE YOUR SUPPORT. Doors open @ 6:20 pm.
